A defibrillator has been installed to the outside wall of the Bardsey Village Hall. Demonstration on its use will be given in Callister Hall on Friday 25th July between 2-4pm by the West Yorkshire Community Defribrillation Officer. BARDSEY BOWLING CLUB OPENS MARCH 15TH

The Club commences for 2014 on 15th March. All Villagers are invited to try bowls. The Club is situated to the rear of the Village Hall and has 60 players of all abilities and ages including children.

Several families have recently joined and the Club invites more villagers to try the game. Junior membership starting from the age of 7 and Adult playing membership is available together with social and non-social playing membership.

Why not try bowls on Saturday 22nd March, the afternoon of the Beer Festival.

BARDSEY BEER FESTIVAL 2014

The 2014 Bardsey Beer Festival will be held on Saturday 22nd March in the Village Hall from 12noon to 10pm. 30 Yorkshire beers including Great Heck Yakima IPA 7.4%. £5 entry fee including Commemorative glass and programme. Bring the family – other drinks available Support the Bardsey Village Hall Development Fund. Work is commencing during 2014.

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Residents are invited to attend an Open Meeting in the Village Hall at 7pm 17th July 2013 at which Landowners will be presenting their proposals for sites 1106, 1027 and 3363. These are between Bank Top and First Ave, adjacent Hetchell View and Mill Lane respectively.

TEDDY OFF THE TOWER 2

With Pig Roast & BBQ. Sat 29th June 2013 3.00pm at All Hallows Church. You are invited by the churches of All Hallows and St Mary Magdalene to their summer fete with teddy bear bungee jumping and many other activities.

A fun family get together that sees the return of our popular teddy bear bungee jump and other fete activities. From 3.00pm onwards bring your brave bear or other favourite soft toy to the church tower and watch them bungee! After their jump you will be presented with a certificate and entered into a cuddly toy prize draw. Local stallholders will be selling their wares.

Listen to live jazz as you stroll around the grounds. Quench your thirst from the licensed pay bar serving beer wine and soft drinks. Satisfy your hungry tums from the pig roast and BBQ available from 4.00pm.

Entry is free but there is a small charge for the fete activities – only 20p each (excludes tombola)
